Gareth of Gareth, Vivian and Fiona has fully translated the Taipei subway map into English, in what I must say is a beautiful piece of work.
I can't quite follow everything he has done here (I'm not sure how he got "The Hot Branches 1911 Revolution" out of "Xinhai") but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't think Chinglish means what you think it means.
Some idiot in Taichung made the same mistake of literally translating Chinese locations which only confuse the traveler, since city streets and place names are not translated. but in ping-yin. Please delete this rubbish since it is useless to anyone.

I agree with this. Romanization of place names in Taiwan can be ridiculously inconsistent, and when that happens it fails at its presumed goal of helping people who are unfamiliar with Chinese characters. It's not at all clear to the non-Chinese speaker that Gongguan and Kungkuan are the same place, for instance. But...

Since you must be aware the 'MRT map' I posted was not put together to actually help anybody make sense of the Taipei MRT system, I have to assume you're just having a royally bad day. Don't worry. Whatever's wrong, things will get better,
